I bought the Quantum Mech No: 5 with silent linear switches and the v3.0 screen. I’m so pleased. I reconfigured various keys and knobs to give me a great setup. I replaced one of the knobs with the Pause Break button and replaced the F12 with the Del key. So I have exactly the keys I want and the knobs control volume and screen brightness. The screen is more useful than I thought it would be. I love being able to keep an eye on my system resources without an app taking up desktop real estate. I actually use the calculator more than I thought too. While in fullscreen games it’s nice to just flip the switch, do quick math, then keep playing (instead of alt-tab out to open calculator, etc). Very solid, very visually fun. I love seeing this on my desk. Software needs work, as others have said. But for the quality of the actual product I can learn to use it. Well done, guys.
I came to know about this keyboard while looking for a replacement of my old keyboard. I was hesitant at first but decided to go with the Quantum Mech 5 with KTT Rose Blue switch. It’s really well made and looks gorgeous! Thanks, Skyloong team. You’ve got a loyal customer now!
The keyboard is really nice, great to type on (i went for the rose silver), but like others have said in here, the software is garbage, and thats coming from someone who has used the corsair Icue software!
Its just really confusing etc, its just needs simplfying etc.
Other than that its good.
The keyboard itself is built very well for it being plastic, the gasket mount could be improved but it isn’t terrible. The packaging is also good and keeps the keyboard perfectly save. The software for the keyboard itself is even worse than the old Razer softwares, it took me about 1.5hrs just to change the functions on the knobs and change the static light effect to pink. The software for the screen is acceptable since its a gimmick, that is if you can find the software at all, finding any software is a nightmare for this keyboard.
Seriously I’d rather not have to spent the money on another keyboard just to harvest your replacement to silent clove tactiles.
As for the keyboard itself it’s pretty good for a full sized keyboard. The calculator switch is really nice, saves me having to alt tab out of some programs. The screen still could use work even the current 3.0 version is fairly lacking. At the very least there could be a palette swap of the fox theme so it matches the white version of the keycaps.
I’m tempted to take a star because when I converted my spacebar back to 6.25u the switches got ripped out with the split spacebar but they seem to be solidly in when I double checked so whatever.
